There things in life which do not count. I mean it is not what satisfy. Life is about choices, you live life depending on how you choose to live it. These choices we make thinking it shall satisfy that longing within us. There is that feeling, you sometimes feel it is like you are not complete and therefore you need something to complete you.

To be frank nothing and no one can fill that space except Jesus Christ. That space and longing is meant for Him to satisfy.

The Samarian woman He met at the well thought being Samarian was all that counts, she bragged about her identity. When Jesus started explaining to her how she has lived her life trying to satisfy that longing, she got afraid. She thought sleeping around with every available man was going to satisfy that longing but she was wrong. Jesus told her that He was able to give her water and she will not be thirsty again, John 4:1-26. Most people think like her, getting to pornography, smoking, fornicating, committing adultery, alcoholism and even over eating, thinking it will satisfy that longing. Only Jesus Christ can do that.

Religion cannot also fill that longing, if it can then Nicodemus the teacher of the law would not have gone to Jesus at night to ask about what counts. John 3:3 Jesus gave him an answer that one has to get born again. All denominations cannot fill that place, only Jesus can. Zachaeus the tax collector thought that money counts in life. When he learnt the truth he sought to meet Jesus. His encounter with Jesus Christ made him complete and saw that money did not mean much and was willing to return to those he took from four time that he took.

Galatians 6:15- Neither circumcision nor uncrcumcision means anything; what counts is a new creation. What is this new creation; 2Corinthins 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come. Be made new in Christ Jesus, give yourself to Him to be your saviour. He says, ‘I am the bread of life, whoever eats of me shall never go hungry. I am the living water, whoever drinks of me shall never be thirsty’. Come to Jesus, He gives what satisfy.
