I am not an idiot

I was born in a family where diaries were as important as breakfast, lunch and supper. That was some years back in my home village. I am now a university student, but their effects are on my neck.May late dad kept a huge table them and another small notebook and both had to be written on daily.

My mum also never did any core not in her diary. My younger sister was never reminded of her birthday since was one of her main events.

During our birthdays’, one could be much surprised with the worst gift I thought in my life. That was a diary most of the days, from my dad. This irritated me severally because I had never realized its need since I saw no complication of events in my life style. One day, after I joined campus I was called by one of my mentors who wanted to offer an internship after my first year in Safaricom. I promised I will call back since I was in a meeting. By bad luck I deleted his contact and had not written it anywhere. Right now it’s impossible to look him up any more. I lost the chance but had to move on with life.

My cousin cannot speak to me anymore. See, I forgot to write down the date he was to land in Kenya from China and had promised to meet him in Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKA). After his alight he called me and had gone for fun with my friends. He had some scholarship forms had to fill that day because had to take a flight back the next day.

Just a few weeks ago, was the climax of the consequences when I realized how my academic life was being shambled by such. I missed the very first important class because I never and had not noted it anywhere. The registration was made and now was on step to step with my lecture to convince him to register.

I am not an idiot, but have understood that not making anything on my diary is more of disasters. I must buy one today and probably write on it tomorrow.
