Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.
since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
We work to serve Christ, not men or leaders and we are assured that we shall receive an inheritance as a reward.
*St. Matthew 25:34 "Then the King will say to those on his right, ’Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.*
The Lord shall repay everyone justly according to how they served in their calling.
St. Matthew 25:41 "Then he will say to those on his left, ’Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
As children of God, it is prudent of us to walk in the light, let us do everything from our hearts.
God is the one who calls us to His ministry, but we have to follow Him first.
NIV, St. Mark 1:17
"Come, follow me," Jesus said, "and I will send you out to fish for people."
In order to fulfill God's purpose, we should learn to hear from God. Where the Lord calls you is the best place for you.
Do not do what you want but rather what the Lord wants of you. Live a life worthy of the calling of God.
NIV, Ephesians 4:1
As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.
Open your mind and be ready to listen to God. Follow the path He wants you to follow, His chosen path for you.
Romans 12:6-8
We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith;
if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
Every ministry is important. Every person has their place in the Kingdom, to make the body of Christ complete. You are very important in your place, we are all serving the Lord.
1 Corinthians 12:14,17-20 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.
If the whole body were an eye, where would the sense of hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?
But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.
If they were all one part, where would the body be?
As it is, there are many parts, but one body.
It is upon us to follow Him and He will make us. Following is a virtue of a disciple. Don't tell God to make you what _you_ want to be, but rather let Him make you what _He_ wants you to be.
We belong to God, we are not our own, therefore let us do what pleases the master.
NIV, Deuteronomy 10:14
To the LORD your God belong the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it.
May the Lord order our steps according to His will, and may we live a life worthy of the calling we have received.
