The bible in the book of 1st peter 2:16 comands us to live as free men but not to use our freedom as a cover up for evil. Christ has loved us and for the completion of this love we have to love him too; not by words of mouth but through our actions also. Unfortunately we are living in a society that has rejected God. In the bible from the early days, the soiceties that rejected God valued three things; violence, entertainment and sex. Look at today’s society, what are the things that they have valued. Now away from the society to you as an individual, what is it that you have valued?
Now you will realize that most of the people when they joined campus they came with a mentality that having many girlfriends with many ladies is being a man and being in a higher caliber than the others
God has sent a great warning to the Christian community to live sexually pure lives. In his first letter to the Thessalonians, Paul reminds them that abstaining from sexual immorality is one of the God’s will for them. This answers the many questions of whether doing something related to sexual matters is right or wrong. The question is this, is the thing you are doing making you sexually impure?
This arouses another great concern of what sexual purity is all about. Sexual purity is the virtue of decency and being uncontaminated sexually in your thoughts, actions, and motives. When we talk about sexual purity it goes beyond the physical act of having sexual intercourse. It includes the purity of even thoughts. What is it that you think about in your closet? The call of God to us to live sexually pure life and avoid activities that and things in life that contaminate our spiritual walk with God.
As Paul his son timothy in the book of 1st timothy 5:1-2, do not rebuke an older man, but ehort him as a father, younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, younger women as sisters, WITH ALL PURITY. Let’s strive to live sexually pure lives.
